Topps Tiles Group are currently recruiting for a Space Planner to join our wider Store Development team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, analytical and organised candidate with a can-do attitude. The role will be based within our Support Office in Leicester with the option to work remotely 2-3 days a week. An understanding of, or experience in retail space planning would be an advantage, but the key experience we are looking for is someone with a background in a highly analytical role.

Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Maintain accurate space optimisation records to ensure that all stores receive the right product allocations & ranges appropriate to their grade & layout
  • Support in the delivery of key merchandising projects & initiatives, ensuring that these are launched into the right stores, in the highest sales generating position possible
  • Support & assist the shaping of the company’s space management initiative, to ensure that we maximise sales densities across all store formats
  • To provide leadership in the Space Optimisation Initiative
  • Ability to form good strong relationships with key stakeholders namely those in Buying, Finance and IT
  • Ability to form good strong relationships with software suppliers/developers
  • Ensure the maintenance of the Companies space optimisation system(s) ensuring they depict an accurate reflection of store space & range to assist and support the decisions on future strategy
  • All space and merchandising recommendations to be in line with Health and Safety

To be considered for this position, you will have some experience of working in a Retail Space Planning or a Merchandising environment. We are looking for somebody who is highly analytical, has strong numerical and computer skills, with the ability to forge relationships with others in the business using your influencing and relationship building skills. Whilst exposure to a space planning software package would be a massive plus, if you are quick to learn, use your initiative and have excellent attention to deal, then you will be just fine!
