We are currently looking for an Apprentice to join us! Working alongside the wider HR team, this role is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience whilst gaining a CIPD recognised Apprenticeship. 

The key purpose of your role will be to provide HR and Systems support to both HR colleagues and end users. 

Key Accountabilities

CUSTOMER / STRATEGY / PLAN

  • Ownership of all areas of HR administration from recruitment to leavers in line with defined administrative tasks – ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Manager the contract production and onboarding for new starters ensuring all RTWs are checked and compliant.
  • Working alongside payroll and the HR Analyst, ensure all changes are actioned on Resourcelink and produce relevant contracts and paperwork.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required to support HR team e.g. HR team meeting support, support to HR Director and HR Leadership team and administrative and project support.
  • Process any leavers.
  • Support with MyView inbox answering first line queries and resetting of MyView passwords.
  • Manage the HR Working Planner.
  • Support with the shared services inboxes answering first line queries.

PEOPLE

  • Ensure a positive experience for end users providing excellent service at all times, responding to all tasks in a timely and efficient manner (at least in line with agreed SLAs)
  • Liaise positively with all internal and external stakeholders to uphold the reputation of the HR function and Topps Tiles plc as a whole

RISK / PROCESS

  • Day to day administration of HR activities in line with agreed policies, SLAs and legislative requirements
  • Processing new starters, changes and leavers in line with company authorisation procedures
  • Supporting the wider HR team with internal administration processes including document storage, filing and reporting
  • Identify ongoing opportunities for increased efficiency including system enhancements and process improvements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Essential

  • Excellent planning, organisation, time keeping and communication skills
  • Previous administration experience
  • Strong attention to detail, numerate and analytical
  • Can do, proactive approach – used to identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Microsoft Excel and Word skills to an intermediate standard
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build strong working relationships and gain the trust of colleagues through professional service provided
  • Discretion

Desirable

  • Basic knowledge of systems or packages
  • Knowledge of the employee life cycle
